Media Release - MathType 5 New Release: Math Equations Over The Internet
Hearne Scientific Software announces the release of MathType 5. This newest version maintains the power and versatility that have characterised previous versions of this product.
The most exciting of the new developments is the incorporation of MathPage technology, allowing you to export Word documents to HTML while preserving the alignment and formatting of your equations in all MathML-capable browsers (such as IE, Netscape and Amaya). It also allows you to export your equations as GIF images, with high resolution for printing, all perfectly aligned with the surrounding text.
To further enhance the ease with which you can publish equations on the web, MathType 5 has a built-in translator for MathML 2 as well as for MathML 1. This XML-based language has been recommended by the W3C, the web's standards governing body, and as a result has been incorporated into almost all new web browsers. With MathType 5, equations can be converted into MathML code quickly and simply, readying them for web publication.
MathType 5 also includes support for Microsoft Windows/Office XP and improved support for IBM techexplorer Hypermedia Browser. Wheel mouse support and unlimited levels of undo and redo have also been added, making equation creation easier and faster than ever.
To upgrade, contact Hearne Scientific Software. Orders can also be placed via Hearne's website and these will be delivered free of charge.
