Oracle Crystal Ball
Formerly Crystal Ball Standard Edition, now includes CB Predictor and the Crystal Ball and CB Predictor Developer Kits.
Automate "what if" analysis in your spreadsheets with Monte Carlo simulation. Quickly assign ranges of values to your inputs and automatically calculate thousands of different outputs and their probabilities. Record the results for in-depth analysis or summarised reporting with Crystal Ball's many reports, charts and tools.
Includes CB Predictor, which uses established forecasting methods to help identify and extrapolate the trends in your historical data. CB Predictor analyses your data and produces insightful and accurate forecasts.
Oracle Crystal Ball Decision Optimizer
This option for Crystal Ball adds the following advanced capabilities:
- OptQuest: To search for optimal solutions
- Extreme Speed: To run simulations up to 100 times faster
- The Optquest Developer Kit: to customise and automate your optimisation models.
The combination of this option and Crystal Ball are equivalent to the former Crystal Ball Professional Edition.
Oracle Crystal Ball Enterprise Performance Management
Now, with Oracle Crystal Ball Enterprise Performance Management, you can apply the power of Crystal Ball to your Oracle Enterprise Performance Management and Business Intelligence applications.
This edition includes all the features of Crystal Ball, plus the ability to work within Oracle EPM Workspace, where you can share your Crystal Ball workbooks and analyse Hyperion Planning and Essbase data accessed through Smart View for Office.
New Oracle Crystal Ball Features
This release brings about some substantial changes in Crystal Ball! Here are just a selection of features:
Complete Update of Optquest: A new Wizard for setting up optimisations, full integration with Excel and Crystal Ball, including the ability to control optimisations through Crystal Ball’s control panel, an updated version of OptQuest’s world-class global optimisation engine, and much more.
OptQuest Developer's Kit: Now includes an API for programming optimisations in addition to the existing kits of Crystal Ball and CB Predictor.
Updated Distribution Fitting: Distribution fitting now includes discrete as well as continuous distributions and certain parameters can be locked for increased accuracy. When fitting to continuous distributions, P-Value calculations for Anderson-Darling and Kolmogorov-Smirnov have been added.
New Data Analysis Tool: This tool helps you import data directly into Crystal Ball forecasts, one for each data series. Then, you can analyse the data using any of Crystal Ball’s charting, reporting and data extraction features.
Advanced Features: The lognormal distribution now has a new location parameter to help you model shifted lognormal distributions. This three-parameter distribution is available for setting up assumptions and for fitting to datasets. You can also lock the values of certain parameters of selected distributions while fitting data to those distributions.
